Documentary film and photography for NGOs and companies in Malawi

We make documentaries, training and promotional films, animation and event coverage, and we photograph your work for reports, funding applications and campaigns. Each shoot is planned against what you will need over the year, so you leave with a catalogued picture library that you own.

MaxLife training video, Design Outreach, 2025

Film shows what exists. Animation shows what cannot be photographed.

How it runs

  1. 01Purpose

We agree where the film will be shown and what its audience should do next.

  2. 02Form

We choose the form with you: documentary, animation, film or photography.

  3. 03Treatment and storyboard

We write the treatment and draw the storyboard or shot list before filming.

  4. 04Production

We film, photograph or animate it.

  5. 05Edit and delivery

We deliver the edit with cut-downs and subtitles, and the pictures as a library.

How do you handle consent from the people you film?

Permission comes first. We ask the people who will appear, and whoever is responsible for the place, before a camera comes out.
